Pace Van Hire - About

We’re a successful family business that has been based on Pomeroy Street in New Cross since the 1950s. Originally, the business centred around car sales but now, three generations later, we’re well established as providers of affordable van hire in South London and Croydon.

We’re just as much of a family business as the day we set up our company; not only are there several family members working as part of our team, we treat all our team members and customers like they’re part of the family too.

In 2018 we decided to expand the business and open a second branch, bringing our expertise to Croydon for the first time. The response to this has been fantastic, leading to the opening of a third branch in Eltham in 2023.

Paul was responsible for our move into the van hire business. As a second-generation member of the Verrico family, his extensive experience in the motor industry has played a key role in Pace Van Hire’s success. He loves working alongside family and thinking outside the box to keep the business ahead of the competition.

Louis

CEO

Since joining in 2008, Louis has carried forward his family’s legacy as the third generation at the helm of Pace Van Hire. Now CEO, he leads the business across all branches, focusing on quality, innovation, and long-term growth. Louis was instrumental in developing the company’s current model and remains committed to evolving Pace in a way that supports both its customers and the communities it serves.

Reegan

Branch Manager

Reegan leads the New Cross branch while also serving as a Company Director, bringing strong leadership and day-to-day expertise to the heart of the business. With a calm and focused approach, he ensures the branch runs smoothly and continues to meet high standards. Reegan also plays a key role in managing our insurance processes, using his in-depth knowledge to help keep our operations moving efficiently and compliantly.

Amy

RENTAL AGENT

As Head of Litigation, Amy brings exceptional drive and determination to the team. She’s recovered significant funds for the business and is known for seeing every case through with grit and focus. Somehow, she also finds time to serve as our in-house telematics engineer, applying the same energy and precision to that role. Amy’s passion for the job and unwavering commitment make her a vital part of Pace’s success.

Tegan

Head of Admin

Tegan has grown into the role of Head of Admin, now managing administrative processes across the entire company. Known for her precision and no-nonsense approach, she keeps everything running like clockwork behind the scenes. From handling complex paperwork to supporting multiple teams at once, Tegan’s quiet efficiency and deep knowledge of our systems make her an essential part of Pace’s engine room.

Transport Manager

Igor has been responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vans since 2008. He’s a bit of a workaholic and he loves being hands on and dealing with any issues as soon as they appear. Igor makes sure that each van is serviced and is ready to go.

Kieron began by managing the launch of our Croydon branch in 2018 and has since grown into the role of Chief Operating Officer. He now supports operations across the company, playing a vital part in our move into B2B hiring and overseeing our in-house mechanics workshop, LCV. With a hands-on approach and deep knowledge of the business, Kieron continues to help drive Pace forward with a focus on service, efficiency, and long-term growth.

Office Coordinator

Elliott has recently taken on a new challenge at our Eltham branch, where he’s playing an important role in its early development and future expansion. Having steadily progressed within the business, his growth has been recognised with increased responsibility and trust. Friendly, reliable, and a valued part of the team, Elliott continues to build on his experience as he helps shape our newest location.

Rental Agent

Susan is another member of the Pace Van Hire team with family connections – she joined the team in 2018 to work alongside her grandson, Kieron. She loves meeting our customers, discussing their needs, and helping them to hire the van that’s right for them.

Lianne

Office Coordinator

Joined in April 2022.  Obsessed with stitch from Lilo and stich, so much so she has a tattoo and only drinks from her stitch tea mug. She has said since joining her confidence has really improved and the daily interaction with so many different people has helped her with this. Her favourite restaurant is Nando’s and favourite drink is Pink gin and lemonade. She is in charge of PCNs at Croydon as well as working on the front desk booking customers out and taking phone calls. Her friendly and sweet nature is a warm welcome for customers.

Omar has been maintaining and repairing the vans at our Croydon branch since it opened in 2018. He spends his days making sure that each van meets his high standards and is running reliably. Omar loves working alongside the rest of the team and feeling like part of the family.
